He was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital and admitted to the ICU in critical condition.
Jackson’s family confirmed they had been with him just a day before the incident. Rumors spread online that he may have been abducted, but his relatives dismissed the claims, saying he had no known enemies and was not politically active.
“He never attended any protests. He sold clothes in Ruaka and minded his own business,” said his aunt, Joyce Njuguna.

Joyce added that Jackson had no political affiliations and lived a peaceful life. His wounds, however, suggested he may have been mistaken for someone else.
Jackson passed away on the morning of Thursday, July 10. Family friend Mercy Nungari, who first shared news of Jackson Njoroge death with Tuko, said the family was in deep pain.
The family is now calling for investigations to find out who attacked Jackson and why. They want answers and justice for their loved one.
