Comedian and radio host Dr Ofweneke has sparked a heated debate after saying it is not easy for a man to love a child who is not biologically his.
Speaking on air, Dr Ofweneke, who has two failed marriages and 2 babymamas under his belt, said people need to be honest about how hard step-parenting can be.
“It Is not easy for a man to love a child that is not his,” he said.
“We need to be honest about that. The emotions are different. The sacrifice is different.”

His comments quickly spread online, dividing public opinion.
Some agreed with him, saying he had voiced a truth many people are afraid to admit. They argued that society often paints step-parenting as simple when, in reality, it comes with emotional struggles and silent sacrifices.
Others, however, called his remarks unfair and insensitive. They said love is not just about DNA but about care and commitment.
Despite the backlash, Dr. Ofweneke has stood by his words, saying he only wanted to start an honest discussion about blended families.
He insists that his intention was not to offend anyone but to highlight a reality many families quietly face.
