Former NTV journalist Eunice Omollo, has turned to social media to appeal for financial assistance from Kenyans of goodwill.
The award winning Health and Science matters reporter broke down as she shared the extent of her struggles. She disclosed her ongoing battle with bipolar disorder, a mental illness she has grappled with for 19 years. And that she cannot afford her medication.

An emotional Omollo also revealed that she lost custody of her son due to her mental health challenges. She is also facing the imminent threat of losing her home.
“I want to go to the hospital because now I’m in my depressive state,” Omollo emotionally expressed.
“Most of you who’ve been following me… I have lived with bipolar for the past 19 years now, and I cannot live without my medication, and I cannot afford my medication.”
The weight of her circumstances weighed heavily on her as she pleaded for assistance. “I am about to lose my house. I’ve lost my son, who now lives with my mum, and I want to go to the hospital,” she tearfully admitted.
“I need to sleep. I’ve not slept for two days now. I have to sleep… I need a job… I want my son.”
