The family of 27-year-old Susan Nabwire is still reeling in shock after her 44-year-old ex-police officer husband brutally killed her and raped their househelp during a late-night attack in Nairobi’s Pipeline estate.
The gruesome incident happened on the night of August 13, 2025, inside Susan’s rented house in Kware. Her one-year-old child was present during the attack.
According to relatives, the suspect, Cyprian Mukoye, came home in a foul mood and accused his wife of cheating. He refused to eat. And demanded her phone, passwords, and M-Pesa PIN.
When she refused, he threatened to kill her.
The househelp recalls that he slapped Susan and kept insisting on the PIN. Later, he went to the bedroom, removed his clothes, and started taking photos of himself. He then told Susan to undress so that they could take pictures together, but she refused.
At around 3 a.m., Cyprian woke up, went to the bathroom and returned with an axe.
He hit Susan on the neck, leaving a deep cut that made her collapse.
Despite Susan’s pleas, he kept attacking her.
He then strangled her with a rope and stabbed her near the eyes before shoving her body under the bed.
The househelp says that after killing Susan, Cyprian turned to her.
He told her he wanted to sleep with her and threatened to kill her if she refused.
He raped her and then locked her, the baby, and Susan’s lifeless body inside the house before fleeing with their phones.
Police broke down the door and found the disturbing scene. Susan’s body was taken to Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary.
Cyprian, who worked as a casual laborer after leaving the police service, was arrested on Saturday. He is being held at Embakasi Police Station awaiting trial.
Susan worked as an M-Pesa agent at Machakos Country Bus. Her family is now left caring for her one-year-old child.
