Gospel singer Evelyne Wanjiru and her husband Agundabweni are expecting their first born baby.
Wanjiru broke the good news on her Instagram page.
Today my heart is full of Joy and gratitude. As I write this, my eyes are full of tears. I have been waiting for this season for 10 years in my marriage.A blessed womb, God has fulfilled His promise in our lives.
She wrote.
She added that she had profusely prayed for the child. “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him,” the singer wrote, quoting a verse from 1 Samuel.
The veteran gospel singer went on to encourage other couples who are waiting for a child to keep waiting. Because her husband and her have waited for ten years amid pressure from social media.
Some fans would go overboard and throw around insensitive comments, but we always kept our calm and trusted in God. She said, speaking in an interview with Bwenieve Digital.
Encouraging other couples, she wrote: I pray for every couple almost giving up. Look at us and see what the Lord has done.
Her husband, Agundabweni shared his excitement on hid Instagram page as well.
See God! Nothing is impossible with God, waiting is not easy but when the grace is sufficient everything flows as God intended. Am so joyful, excited and thankful that God remembered us on the 10th year in marriage.
