Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi, 43, has finally spoken about his breakup with his baby mama, Lynne Njihia, 24.
Eric Omondi revealed that initially, the break up news caught him by surprise. The pair had recently returned from a romantic Dubai trip for his birthday.
But despite the split, he and Lynne share a cordial relationship and are peacefully co-parenting their daughter. According to Eric, they have always been friends, even before having a child together, and he wanted to keep things respectful.
Eric explained that he chose not to speak publicly about the breakup when it happened. He said his silence was meant to protect Lynne and their daughter from unnecessary media attention.
The comedian compared his approach to that of his close friend, fellow comedian Mulamwah. While Mulamwah openly shared details of his own split, Eric said he preferred to handle his situation privately.

Opening up about what caused the separation, Eric Omondi hinted that his busy schedule was the main challenge.
He admitted that Lynne often needed more attention, presence, and communication than he could provide because of his demanding work in comedy, activism, and philanthropy.
Eric said he was even surprised when Lynne broke the news of the breakup, adding that he called her to confirm whether she was serious.
Eventually, he respected her decision and acknowledged that his absence had contributed to the strain.
Despite their separation, the two continue to raise their daughter together. Recently, they even celebrated her birthday as a family, looking happy as they cut the cake with their little girl.
