The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision (EACC) earlier today stormed Waiguru’s offices and homes in Kirinyaga and Nairobi
The governor was under investigation over alleged graft claims.
The company she allegedly worked with (Velocity Partners Limited) received tenders under sheer favoritism.
Sources claim that Waiguru received an amount of 23 million Kenyan shillings for trips. These trips were either not taken or were not for official duty.
She was grilled for five hours after being summoned by the EACC. The main subject of her grilling a month ago over claims of siphoning 6 million.
“EACC is in the process of establishing whether the trips were actually undertaken and whether the documents supporting disbursement of Kenya Shillings Twenty three million to county officials were genuine.”
