Former musician and Chief Administrative Secretary Charles Njagua Kanyi, aka Jaguar, is advocating for former comedian turned humanitarian Eric Omondi to join forces with the government.
In a recent interview, Jaguar praised Omondi’s philanthropic work but suggested that greater impact could be achieved through collaboration with governmental bodies.
“The challenges we face are bigger than Eric Omondi,” Jaguar remarked.

While commending Omondi’s initiatives, Jaguar expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of individual efforts in bringing about significant change.
In a viral Instagram video, Jaguar emphasized the potential for a more substantial impact if Omondi were to work hand in hand with government agencies
“I appreciate whatever he is doing but I do not think it will bring any change. Personally, if you ask me it is bigger than him. I think it is good if he can collaborate with the government and work with them in order to bring change,” Jaguar stated during the interview.
Reflecting on Omondi’s recent relief efforts during natural disasters, Jaguar underscored the widespread nature of the challenges faced, suggesting that collaborative efforts were essential for comprehensive solutions.
“For example, if you look at Athi River where he went to help people, the entire Kenya is affected. It’s good even if he’s criticizing the government; he should collaborate with the government if he wants to help.” Jaguar elaborated.
While acknowledging Omondi’s good intentions, Jaguar reiterated the necessity of governmental support for achieving lasting change.
“I appreciate what he is trying to do, but it won’t bring any impact. It won’t bring a bigger impact because it is bigger than whatever he thinks.” Jaguar said.
