Boniface Mwangi and Maverick Aoko clashed again, this time after photos of Mwangi with billionaire Bill Gates at a TED event in Vancouver resurfaced online.

Aoko accused Mwangi of chasing high-profile moments instead of making real change, reigniting questions about his activism.

Francis Gaitho had already criticized Mwangi, calling his explanation of the photos insincere. Aoko followed up by sharing the images online, suggesting Mwangi lacked real influence in the fight against poor governance.
The critique sparked widespread reactions, with some questioning whether Mwangi’s activism had become more symbolic than impactful.

Boniface Mwangi Responds to Maverick Aoko Criticism
Mwangi responded swiftly, dismissing the criticism as baseless and bitter.
Without mentioning Aoko or Gaitho by name, he said, “I hear these Bill Gates photos from 2022 are giving people sleepless nights.”

He explained that he was attending as a senior TED fellow, where Gates had an exhibition.
He added a pointed remark: “Love your child so they don’t end up tweeting hate daily out of bitterness.”

This isn’t the first public feud between Mwangi and Aoko. Both are known for bold, unapologetic opinions on governance and social issues. Their latest exchange drew mixed reactions online.
Some supported Mwangi, praising his work, while others sided with Aoko, questioning his motives.
