Aspiring Mathare Member of Parliament Bahati was exposed by his former business partner Clay Onyango of fraud.
Remember even Diana Marua was accused of theft in April 2020. The singer had been accused of stealing designer handbags and shoes from her high school friend.
The friend told of how she left the bags and shoes with Diana after she said she was interested to do business with her. However, after getting hold of the stock, Diana neither called nor replied to her texts or calls.
Clay
Sharing a video on his tiktok page, Clay said that he would share a story of how Baha did him dirty.
He later reached out to the tea master Edgar Obare on Instagram to spew details of the whole ordeal.
Clay who is a music promoter, disclosed to Edgar that they had agreed to have a joint studio with Bahati. So Bahati convinced him to start purchasing the necessary materials. Since he was already an established brand, I went for it. Wrote clay.
The promoter went on to add that once the studio was ready, the former gospel singer began taking clients there without informing him. He even refused to put my logo as agreed! Cried Clay.
Clay revealed that when things began going south, he decided to pull out and demand for a refund which he has never received.
Onyango had first again spoken about the ordeal in 2019. He had accused Bahati of swindling half a million from him. And to date he has never received a penny.
Washwash biz?
This comes at a time when Bahati has also been speculated of having joined the washwash industry.
Bahati has constantly been spotted hanging around well-known flamboyant businessmen. He has also been amassing a lot of wealth from unknown sources. I mean he recently bought a house worth 27 million Kenya Shillings and we all know music doesn’t pay well in this country.
