Drama is rife between TikToker and photographer Baba Talisha and Brian Chira’s grandmother regarding the management of funds raised for the late Chira’s burial.
The controversy erupted when Chira’s grandmother, in a live broadcast, accused Baba T of mishandling KSh 8 million collected for her grandson’s funeral expenses.
She alleged that Baba T, along with his purported spouse Brenda Wanjiku, assumed control over all financial matters, including her bank accounts.
Chira’s grandmother added that Baba T and Brenda Wanjiku were taking money from her accounts for the burial. And that after buying her a house in Kiambu, Baba Talisha’s renovation team quoted a price higher than the cost of the house.

Baba Talisha Responds
Reacting to the allegations, Baba T vehemently refuted the claims, asserting that all funds were directly deposited into her designated pay bill account.
And that Chira’s grandma played a big role in purchasing the land and house. He said, “She is the one who bought the land and the house. I was only there to make sure the money we fundraised was being used well,”
A schocked Baba T added, “Enyewe asante ya punda ni mateke. People forget the good things you do for them so easily.”
He issued a stern warning of legal action, denouncing the accusations as defamatory and baseless.
“That granny is something else. Wameamua kudanganya wacha sasa tupelekana kortini (They have decided to lie, let’s meet in court). That is defamation. You cannot lie with my name,”. Baba Talisha said.
He also divulged incriminating recordings showcasing the grandmother’s previous expressions of gratitude for the land procured with the raised funds.
He disclosed, “She was crying, saying that if she got a piece of land, she would be grateful and build any kind of structure there. Then now she has changed the story. I used to sleep late then now she claims she had no idea I was fundraising for her grandson’s burial,”
