  • Basic Monthly Salary – $15,576.75 (Ksh.2.1 million)
  • Child Allowance – $250 (Ksh.35,000) per child per month
  • Housing Allowance – $6,000 (Ksh.840,000) per month
  • Education Benefits – 100% school fee payment for children studying in Africa
  • International Education Support – $15,000 (Ksh.2.1 million) per year for children studying in Europe or North America

Powers

Beyond financial benefits, the AUC Chairperson wields considerable power.

They serve as the Chief Executive Officer and legal representative of the AU, overseeing its administration, finances, and strategic direction.
