Kenyan musician Arrow Bwoy has shared one of the most frightening moments of his life. He watched his partner, Nadia Mukami, pass out after giving birth to their first child, Haseeb Kai, in March 2022, after suffering a miscarriage.
The singer shared how what was supposed to be a joyful day quickly became tense and emotional.
Arrow Bwoy and Nadia had planned for a normal delivery, but things didn’t go as expected.
“Of course, you plan things, but it gets to a point and things happen. We had decided we would go for the normal delivery, but we stayed in the hospital, and time went by. The path was not opening properly,” he recalls.
When doctors realized Nadia was not dilating as expected, they recommended a Caesarean section (C-section). Arrow Bwoy stayed by her side in the operation room, anxious but supportive.
“That was the day I was really worried,” he said.
“I was asking myself, will she make it? The worst part was when she heard the baby cry and got a panic attack, and then she passed out.”
The moment shook him deeply.
Holding his newborn son, Haseeb Kai, Arrow Bwoy feared the worst.
“I was holding the boy and I was like, am I going to raise him alone? My first kid. And this is his mum going. I was so worried,” he shared.
Thankfully, Nadia regained consciousness after a few minutes.
“God came through. She felt better and we gave her the baby. She started breastfeeding,” he added with relief.
Arrow Bwoy and Nadia Mukami have been together for over four years and they are engaged. They recently, welcomed their second child in August 2025.
