Anne Adhiambo’s recent arrest for Eric Maigo’s murder is not her first run-in with the law. Initially, she pled guilty to the cold-blooded murder of the Nairobi Hospital Finance Executive. But later changed her plea to not guilty.
She has a history of theft and truancy which left her institutionalized in the past.
“Anne Adhiambo once stole Sh19,000 from a school office, then ran away. She got caught with Sh15,000 after spending the rest.”
Her mom stated.
As per KTN News, Anne’s stealing habits led to a five-year stay at Dagoretti Girls Rehabilitation Center for reform. Before that, she was at Nairobi Children’s Remand Centre in Kabete.
Eric Maigo’s Murder
Eric Maigo passed away on the wee hours of September 23. Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor identified excessive bleeding as his cause of death. Maigo’s body had 25 stab wounds.
“What we found is that he was stabbed multiple times. and we calculated a (total) number of 25 stab wounds. He died due to internal and external bleeding.”
Pathologist Johansen Oduor stated.
After the Murder
On the unfortunate day, a security camera caught Anne Adhiambo leaving Eric Maigo’s house. She took shoes from a neighbor and escaped by jumping over the property’s wall. And she injured herself on a barbed wire fence.
Back home, Anne’s hurt arm prevented her from doing laundry. Her mother declined to help.
“As I washed clothes on Saturday, Anne requested me to wash hers. I declined and asked her to seek help from those who hurt her on the night she snuck out.”
Anne’s mother said.
Initially, she stayed with family in Bombolulu, Kibera. But became a fugitive after learning she was wanted for murder. After hiding at a friend’s house and later moving to another friend’s place named Brian, Anne Adhiambo was eventually arrested.
How Old is Anne Adhiambo?
While Anne is facing trial as an adult, her age is unclear. Her mother is unsure of the third born’s date of birth. Additionally, the mother-of-five did not register the suspected killer’s bith.
“I did not get a birth certificate at birth for Anne. Neither do I know the exact date of her birth. I would guess that she was born in 2003. But my sister, registered it as 2006.”
The mother-of-five stated.
Anne’s case is ongoing and will be mentioned on December 14, 2023.
