Influencer Alma Mutheu recently decided to air their dirty laundry with her boyfriend, Gift Muziq, revealing that she has been the primary provider in their partnership.
During a live interview with Oga Obinna, Alma shared her frustration, stating that she was tired of being the one supporting Gift financially.
Gift, who was seated next to Alma Mutheu during the interview looked visibly uncomfortable.
Has Alma Mutheu been Financially Supporting Gift?
Alma, who has been dating Gift for over two years, explained that she has been paying all the bills, including rent, without any contribution from him.
“At some point, as a woman, you get tired of doing everything,” she said.
“It is okay if someone is struggling, but you can not keep doing everything for years. Even if it is just half, that’s still something.”
However, Gift has been editing all her videos for free. Well, that must count for something, right?
She also recalled how she had stopped introducing Gift as her boyfriend in public, despite doing so frequently in the past.
“I used to introduce him with pride, but now, not anymore,” she said.
Alma added that while she had been patient, hoping Gift would step up and contribute, she has reached a breaking point.
Gift, however, denied that he had moved into Alma’s house.
But Alma quickly shut down his claim, reminding him that his clothes were in her home and he slept in her bed.
“You sleep in my bed, but you do not want to share the rent? Let’s be honest,” she said.
Despite her disappointment, Alma emphasized that her frustration came from wanting a balanced relationship.
She wants Gift to hustle and contribute, but after years of supporting him, she felt it was time for things to change.
While Alma’s comments have sparked mixed reactions, with some netizens criticizing her for airing her relationship troubles publicly, others have advised Gift to work harder and step up.
