Albert Ojwang’s widow, Nevnina Neeiynah, has penned a painful Father’s Day tribute to her late husband — a man who was not only a digital activist, but a loving father and partner.

The two had planned to spend the day together with their 2.5 year old son. Instead, she is marking it alone, after Albert Ojwang was arrested while they were together, and then violently killed while in police custody.

“This Father’s Day was supposed to be yours,” she wrote in an emotional post on social media.

“You had plans with our son- plans for laughter, for love, for simply being together.”

“We miss you beyond words — not just today, but every day,” Albert Ojwang’s widow, Nevnina Neeiynah continued.

“Your love lives on in him, and I’ll make sure he never forgets the father you were, and the future they stole from you.”

Her tribute ended with a broken heart emoji and a moving declaration: “We love you, baba G.”
