Lucy Wanjiru, the mother of the late Fredrick Mureithi and Victor Mwangi broke into tears as her family members received her at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) yesterday morning.
Lucy could not contain herself and had to be assisted by her friends and family who had gone to receive her.
Her sons Freddie and Victor were among two others who were brutally murdered on Saturday 7th August on suspicion that they were cattle rustlers.
The two boys were also her only children. So you can only imagine the magnitude of loss that Wanjiru is dealing with.
In an emotional video seen on Citizen TV, Lucy is seen weeping bitterly and nearly collapsing asking what she has done to deserve that.
The bereaved mother also said that her sons were not criminals seen that she has raised them in Christian values.
Speaking to journalists Wanjiru added that her boys actually had a meeting with their pastor on Tuesday, two days before they were killed.
A very heartbroken Lucy said that she would like justice to be served.
Bodaboda riders also held peaceful demonstrations on Sunday 15th in Kitengela. And appealed to the government to do a thorough investigation and ensure those responsible for the murder are prosecuted. Since the police are yet to arrest anyone.
Victor and Freddy will be laid to rest at their local home in Nyandarua on Friday.
