Detectives are poring over new CCTV footage after delivery rider Anthony Otieno Olwal was found murdered in South B.
Olwal’s body was discovered in a short-stay room at Meridian Apartment on Tuesday, November 18.
He had gone to deliver an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The phone was ordered via WhatsApp. The buyer told the seller he was in Eldoret. He said the phone was for his “brother, Hilary,” to be picked up at a guesthouse in the Sana Sana area.
CCTV from the Meridian building captured Olwal arriving with a blue delivery bag.
At 11:49 a.m. he is seen on camera making a call. He appears to be locating the client. He then goes into the elevator and disappears from the cameras that follow the corridor.

Shortly after, the footage shows suspicious movements.
At 12:02 p.m., a man leaves the fourth-floor room using the staircase. He walks out carrying a bag. Soon after, another man hurries down. A third man then rushes downstairs naked, holding what looks like a package. The trio look shaken. They quickly zip a bag as they hurry away.
A Nissan Note with registration KDL 336E arrives at the scene.
Two of the suspected men get into the car and drive off.
A woman wearing a cap then appears. She confronts the group. She grabs the bag from them. Police say she is believed to be the short-stay apartment owner, named Charity Muthoni Michoki.
Detectives also reviewed footage from the day before.
On Monday, November 17 at 7:22 a.m., one of the suspects entered the building with the same bag. He was with another man. At 1:00 p.m. that day, a woman joined them. She wore an outfit later seen on one suspect the next day. At 6:46 p.m., the same woman left the building carrying the same bag by elevator.
Leaked WhatsApp chats linked to the sale show the buyer first asking about availability of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Investigators say the order was placed from a number claiming to be in Eldoret. Police are checking the claims.
The DCI is leading the probe.
Several people have been interviewed. They include the apartment owner and Olwal’s wife. Police say inquiries are ongoing.
