Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua AKA Riggy G and a woman linked to him, Julia Muthoni Mwangi, are in hot water. They have been accused of moving into a Nairobi apartment without paying a single coin for it.
A letter from Adrian Kamotho Njenga & Co. Advocates says the two took over Unit 02, Block D, Skyrock Apartments in Kileleshwa. The house belongs to Royal Importers and Exporters Limited and was supposed to cost Ksh 25 million.
The lawyers say Gachagua and Julia promised to pay before moving in, but never did. They now want the two to leave the apartment, admit they are in the wrong, and pay what is owed.
If not, the landlord threatens to evict them and auction everything inside.
To make things worse, President Ruto’s ally Sam Teriiz tweeted:
“When he was Deputy President, Riggy G forced a contractor to give a house to his longtime side chick, promising to pay for it. However, he has never paid a single shilling, yet the side chick went ahead and moved in.”
The scandal has set social media on fire, with many wondering if Rigathi will finally pay up or fight it out in court.
