Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai is appealing for funds to help bury his cousin, Robert Alai Rabari, who died on September 4, 2025.
Alai has described his cousin as more than family, saying they not only shared a name but also a deep personal bond.
“It is with profound sorrow that I share the passing of my dear cousin, Robert A. Rabari. We not only shared a name but also a bond that will remain in my heart forever,” he said.
To give Rabari a dignified send-off, the family has organized a fundraiser on Wednesday, September 10, at All Saints Cathedral starting at 5 p.m. Alai has urged Kenyans of goodwill to support the initiative through prayers, presence, and financial contributions.

Since the announcement, Kenyans from across the country have sent messages of sympathy and comfort to the MCA and his family. Many described Rabari as a kind man who touched the lives of those around him, while others assured Alai that his family is not alone during this painful time.
The news of Rabari’s death comes shortly after the passing of City Lawyer Kyalo Mbobu who was gunned down in Nairobi while heading home.
As the family prepares for the burial, Alai continues to call on Kenyans for support, saying their prayers and contributions will go a long way in honoring his cousin’s memory.
