Ugandan singer Weasel has undergone critical leg surgery in hospital after a violent domestic incident involving his wife, Sandra Teta.
Police say the incident happened on Wednesday night, August 6, 2025, outside Chan’s Bar in Munyonyo. Witnesses claim Teta drove a car into Weasel three times, breaking one of his legs.
Events Leading to Sandra Teta Running Weasel over 3 Times
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police, the trouble began earlier that day at their home. After a quarrel, Weasel allegedly chased Teta and their children out of the house.
Teta said she reported the matter to Weasel’s parents, but they told her to return to him and work things out.
When Teta went back home, Weasel kept insulting and assaulting her. And then he left for Chan’s Bar.
She followed him, and after another argument, she got into a car and hit him.
Instead, she later followed him to the bar. Their argument started again and quickly turned violent. Witnesses say Teta then used her car to run over the singer.
Teta was first held at Kabalagala Police Station. Her vehicle has been seized as part of the investigation. Later when she was released on bail, she visited him in hospital.
Weasel, a member of the former music duo Radio & Weasel, is being treated at Nsambya Hospital. Doctors are closely monitoring his condition.
