CASHMEER SAYYID: WEDDING TURNS OUT TO BE BUSINESS LAUNCH

Content creator Cashmeer Sayyid shocked friends and fellow celebrities after inviting them to her wedding, only for it to turn out to be a business launch.

For weeks, Cashmeer Sayyid, once linked to Jimal Rohosafi, had been hyping an upcoming marriage to a mysterious Congolese man.

She posted photos of a proposal, sent out invites, and asked guests to follow an all-black dress code for the night wedding.

In hindsight, her not posting her man, and even giving strange excuses, like claiming he had not told his first wife about the proposal, were glaring red flags. But hindsight is a b*tch.

On the big day, celebrities arrived dressed to impress in expensive designer outfits.

But some things already felt off.

First, guests saw Sayyid, arranging chairs in the venue just hours before the “wedding.”

And after the guests settled, and waited, Sayyid finally made her entrance.

Except she was not in a wedding gown but a sharp white power suit. With no groom in tow!

Then came the twist: “Today I am getting married to the love of my life, a training institute,” she announced to the shocked crowd.

Turns out it was not a wedding but a vocational college launch.

Of course her audience was mad at because they felt played.

The reaction was instant. Winnie Njenga, who missed her cousin’s traditional wedding, said she had spent KSh 60,000 on her dress and felt used.

Mary Linda, who came in matching attire with her partner, asked why Sayyid misled them. Prince Mwiti compared it to expecting a Rolls Royce but getting a Vitz. Actress Trisha Khalid left early after realising there was no wedding.

Pritty Vishy, still recovering from cosmetic surgery, said she had barely stepped out in three weeks due to pain, yet showed up for what she thought was her friend’s big day. She revealed her friend had even used rent money to buy an outfit for the occasion.

Sayyid later explained that the stunt was meant to raise awareness about child marriages, urging people to “stop marrying underage girls.”

The event has since stirred debate about how far celebrities are willing to go for attention.
