Popular TikTok comedian and content creator KK Mwenyewe, whose real name was Zakaria Kariuki, has died.
He passed away Monday night while receiving treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital, after reportedly experiencing chest complications.
Did KK Mwenyewe have a Death Premonition?
Soon after the news of his passing broke, a video KK Mwenyewe had posted earlier, jokingly pretending to die during protests at State House resurfaced.
In the video, KK is seen dancing in front of the president’s residence, then suddenly fake gunshots are heard. The scene changes to show a depiction of heaven.
And a confused KK asks, “Where is this? I was just at State House. Is this heaven?”
What was meant to be a joke is now being seen by fans as a chilling premonition.
Many fans are questioning, did he unknowingly predict his death. While others are talking about the power of the tongue and how life is spiritual. The video has gone viral again with Kenyans expressing sadness and disbelief.
Adding to the heartbreak is another emotional post KK made a little over a week before his death.
In it, he mourned the tragic death of Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota and his brother, who died in a car crash. On Facebook, KK Mwenyewe shared a photo of Jota and paid tribute to him with kind words. That post is now being seen in a new light, coming just days before KK’s own sudden death.
KK Mwenyewe was well known for his hilarious and spot-on impersonations of political figures, especially former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. His content brought joy to thousands of Kenyans, and his talent made him one of the most beloved creators online.
He had no known wife or children, but his death has left a big gap in the comedy and entertainment space. His close friend Kafengo confirmed the news and asked the public to support the family with prayers during this difficult time.
