A foreign tourist’s dream to retire in Kenya took a wild turn after he was left stranded with no passport, no money, and nowhere to go, allegedly betrayed by the very woman he came to live with.
The mzungu man, who had travelled from the United States with hopes of building a new life in East Africa, now finds himself crashing in a bedsitter with a young Kenyan TikToker, @thithad3, who took him in after hearing his story.
“I chose Kenya because it has some of the most beautiful women,” he shared in a now-viral video.

According to the tourist, he had been living with his Kenyan lover for a short while before she suddenly disappeared. When he returned home one day, she was gone, along with his passport and a bag of money. All that remained were his clothes and luggage.
“I came home and found she had moved out. The only thing left were my bags,” he recounted.
Confused and desperate, he wandered into a local grocery store, unsure of his next steps. There, he met the Gen Z man who claimed to be Kenya’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and promised to help recover his documents.
“He told me not to worry, that he had friends and a team who could help me. I bought him a drink, and we talked,” he said.
