SIMON KABU WINS BIG AGAINST SARAH MTALII IN COURT

Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu has won a major court case against his ex-wife, Sarah Mtalii, over defamatory statements shared online.

The High Court issued a gag order that stops Sarah from publishing or circulating any more content that damages Simon’s reputation. This includes a temporary injunction blocking her and her associates from sharing a confidential company memo from December 2024.

The court also directed Sarah to delete all previous defamatory posts and issue a public apology on the same platforms where the content had been shared.

Simon’s lawyer said the ruling protects his client’s right to dignity and shields his business from further harm. The judge agreed, noting there was clear evidence that Simon’s reputation and company could suffer if the statements continued.

This case is the latest twist in a very public and sometimes messy relationship between the former couple.

The Messy Drama between Simon Kabu and Sarah Mtalii

Simon Kabu and Sarah Mtalii met in 2007 and soon built a life together, both personally and professionally. They founded Bonfire Adventures and became a well-known power couple in Kenya’s travel industry.

They married in 2009 and had two children, a son in 2013 and a daughter in 2017.

But cracks began to show in 2021 when Sarah started posting cryptic social media messages. In April 2022, Sarah Mtalii miscarried. And then she made public accusations against Simon, including claims that he had blocked her from seeing their children. She later apologized and called for privacy.

The couple briefly reconciled and even announced a new pregnancy in May 2022. However, by late 2024, things had deteriorated again. Sarah gave interviews discussing infidelity involving their nanny, and later confirmed she had left their home.

The court case marks a turning point in their public fallout, with the legal system now stepping in to enforce boundaries between the two.
