Yussuf Hussein Ahmed disappeared on September 13, 2024, believed to be abducted from Enterprise Road in Nairobi.

Njagi, who was abducted for 32 days and kept in handcuffs day and night, told JKL how, on the night of September 13, 2024, the MCA was brought in and locked up in the room next to his.

He said it was unusual for people to be brought in at night, which made him curious. He peeked through a gap and saw the man, who he later realized was Yussuf Hussein Ahmed.

“I remember the date well—September 13, 2024. It was strange to bring someone in at night. I looked through and saw a man, who I later found out was the missing MCA,” Njagi said.

After his release, Njagi learned the person brought in that night was of Somali descent. He also found out someone was abducted on Enterprise Road the same day and realized it was the MCA.

Njagi said that when he left the detention center, the MCA was still alive. However, he later heard that the MCA’s body was found mutilated and dumped in Wajir.

Is the Missing Wajir MCA, Yussuf Hussein Ahmed Dead?

A month after MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed disappeared, a body was found in Lake Yahud, and people initially thought it was the MCA’s.

But DNA tests later showed it was not him. This has left many questions unanswered about what happened as the MCA is still missing.

But Bob Njagi is convinced that the MCA is dead, criticizing the DNA report that declared the body not to be that of Yussuf Hussein Ahmed.

He argues that the results were produced in just two days, whereas it typically takes at least a month to obtain verifiable results.

The High Court has ordered IG Douglas Kanja to reveal the missing MCA’s whereabouts in 14 days.

The MCA’s family and locals are still looking for answers. County Assemblies have even threatened to adjourn House sittings if the MCA is not found soon.

They believe the MCA was taken by the state for reasons that have not been explained.
