Leone Island Music Empire Founder Jose Chameleone is struggling with acute pancreatitis, a condition caused by years of alcohol use.
His son, Abba Marcus, shared the news in a TikTok video, opening up about his father’s health issues after he was hospitalized on December 12, 2024, after falling ill suddenly.
Marcus explained that his father’s long battle with alcohol addiction has led to serious health problems, including weight loss.
Doctors warned that Chameleon could have only two years to live if he does not stop drinking and urged him to seek help.
Marcus also defended his mother, Daniella Atim, against unfair blame. Jose Chameleon and Daniella are estranged, with the latter having since relocated to the US.
“My father has been battling alcohol addiction, which explains the weight loss,” Marcus said.
“It’s hurtful to see people blaming my mother. She’s not responsible.”

Marcus also criticized his paternal grandparents, accusing them of neglect, and pointed to the loss of two uncles due to similar issues. He said, “The irresponsibility of my father’s parents is part of the problem. If it weren’t for my father, no one would even know the Mayanja name.”
Marcus expressed frustration with some of Chameleone’s friends, claiming they enabled his drinking for their own gain.
“It hurts to see him continue drinking despite knowing the risks,” Marcus said. “He has four other children who still need him. We need to help him get the support he needs.”
Acute pancreatitis is a serious condition where the pancreas becomes inflamed, causing symptoms like severe pain, nausea, and fever. Early medical care and cutting out alcohol are crucial for recovery.
Despite the family struggles, Marcus remains hopeful.
“He still has a chance to heal. We just need to help him get there,” he said.
