President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally given new rules in regards to the spread of covid 19.
Speaking at The State House earlier today, Uhuru stated that there’s a possible strain of coronavirus that is ongoing.
And because of that, all political gatherings and rallies have been prohibited for the next thirty days.
The president went ahead to grant permission to all law enforcement officers to strictly enforce order regardless of the social and political status of conveners.
Funerals will be conducted within seventy-two hours after death. This includes donations and other ceremonies.
As a result, the number of people attending a funeral service has been reduced to a hundred and limited only to the family and close friends.
Uhuru has also insisted on the continuous observation of protective measures such as wearing of masks, regular hand washing with soap and water and sanitizing.
The nationwide curfew has been extended for another sixty days. And clubs and restaurants are expected to close by nine.
The president also added that places of worship should only have a third of the normal attendance. And all isolation facilities must be maintained highly.
