Hype Ballo, also known as Allan Ochieng, the hypeman for DJ Joe Mfalme, was on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 been granted release on a Ksh.500,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount or an alternative of Ksh.500,000 cash bail.
This decision was made by Kiambu Law Court Lady Justice Dorah Chepkwony on Wednesday, under specific conditions.
As part of his release terms, Hype Ballo must attend all court sessions related to his case.
Additionally, he is required to report to the Kikuyu sub-county DCI office on the first day of each month until the key witness testifies.
Furthermore, he is to remain under the supervision of the Kibera area chief until the conclusion of his case.
The case, scheduled for mention on May 22, 2024, will address pre-trial matters and schedule a hearing date.

Hype Ballo Murder Charge
Hype Ballo stands accused of assaulting Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officer Felix Kintosi on March 16, alongside several others including Eric Kariuki Gathua, Simon Wambugu Wanjiru, Khadija Abdi Wako, Sammy Cheruiyot Rotich, and Agnes Kerubo Mogoiare.
Tragically, Officer Kintosi passed away from his injuries on March 21, 2024.
Notably, DJ Joe Mfalme, initially a co-accused party, was released last month alongside five others, including three police officers, and has been designated as a State witness in the case.
