Gladys Boss Shollei, the Deputy Speaker of Kenya’s National Assembly, recently shared intimate details about her marriage to Dr. Neil Horn, a South African Mzungu.
The pair tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in August 2023.
During an interview with TV47’s ‘Mfahamu Kiongozi’ segment, she opened up about her path to love after a divorce. “I had three children from that marriage, and a fourth one, and that marriage fell apart. And yes, I moved on and I’m married to somebody I always knew,” she candidly shared.
Horn, who brings two children from a previous relationship, wasn’t a stranger to Boss. She said, “I dated him in… before… when I was at the University of Cape Town.”

Their marital celebrations blended cultural traditions, as Boss recounted, “We had a traditional wedding here in Kenya, then I had a white wedding in Cape Town, and later had a small celebration here in Kenya for my cousins and relatives who didn’t come to Cape Town.”
