Vera Sidika recently threw daughter Asia Brown a pink-themed birthday party. But, the father, Brown Mauzo was missing in action. Well, netizens were quick to notice this absence. In her defense, Vera revealed that she extended Brown Mauzo an invitation to the party, but he chose not to attend.
“I invited him (Brown Mauzo) to his daughter’s bday just so it can be memorable for her special day. I stay away, they have their moment. He did not want to show up & said it wouldn’t be a good idea to be at her birthday party.”
She stated.
Vera Sidika added that she was the “bigger person” to invite Brown Mauzo to his daughter’s party, since most babymamas would not.
I was still the bigger person to even invite him to Asia’s bday. Most people wouldn’t.” Added Vera.
The socialite revealed that she would never miss her child’s birthday celebrations. Vera, whose stint in the US ended, insisted that her daughter’s birthday was the reason she was back in Kenya.
“A bday is not an ordinary day, it’s a special day to celebrate you child. I would never miss it for the world. I rushed back from America just so I couldn’t miss my daughter’s bday.”
She said.
On Mauzo’s absence, Vera said that she could not “force a person to reason” as he clearly did not “see the importance” of turning up for his daughter’s big day.
Trouble Co-parenting?
In late August 2023, singer Brown Mauzo announced that he and Vera Sidika had mutually decided to end their relationship. The father of five added that his and Vera’s focus was towards co-parenting. Besides Asia, the two share a son, Ice Brown.
Not long after, Mauzo revealed son Ice Brown’s face on social media. The revelation did not auger well with Vera Sidika. She said that Mauzo spoiled her plans to do the revealing in a spectacular way.
“I need y’all to understand as much as (Ice’s) face reveal party plans that I had paid for were ruined before Asia’s Bday”
Stated Vera.
This suggests that the two could not agree on how to introduce their son the world. Hopefully the two parents can find a common ground on how to raise their children.
