“NI JOKES!” MUHOOZI KAINERUGABA TO KENYANS ON TWITTER

Muhoozi Kainerugaba, President Yoweri Museveni’s son, had Monday issued a thread of threats suggesting a possible invasion into the Kenyan territory.

General Kainerugaba used his official Twitter handle to throw shade at Kenyans provoking them with his controversial tweets.

In one of the tweets, he alleged that he can conquer Nairobi together with his army in just 2 weeks. “It wouldn’t take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi.“After our army captures Nairobi, where should I live? Westlands? Riverside?” he questioned.

The tweets elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans who opted to square it out with the retired General.

Muhoozi then blamed retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, whom he refers to as his “big brother”, for not contesting for a third term in the August 2022 polls. He claimed that Uhuru could have easily won the election.
My only problem with my big brother is that he did not stand for a third term. We would have won easily,” he wrote on Twitter.

Muhoozi suggested that Mr. Kenyatta, who handed over power to President William Ruto on September 13, 2022, should have changed the constitution to remain in power.
Haha! I love my Kenyan relatives. Constitution? Rule of law? You must be joking! For us (Uganda), there is only the Revolution and you will soon learn about it!”
Not done, Muhoozi sensationally claimed on the same platform he needs a fortnight to topple President Ruto’s government.

Kizza Besigye reacts

Muhoozi’s venture into diplomacy and use of social media has raised questions if at all he is governed by military law which, at least on paper, asks soldiers to steer clear of politics. Besigye tweeted condemning Muhoozi’s tweets.

Kwani hamjui jokes

Taking to his twitter today morning, Muhoozi has dismissed his previous tweets as jokes.

I would never beat up the Kenyan army because my father told me never to attempt it! So our people in Kenya should relax,” Muhoozi tweeted.

Muhoozi Kainerugaba went ahead to thank his East African supporters for helping him attract 600k followers on Twitter.

Thank you, my followers. Let’s make it to 1 million soon. I appreciate the love. Let me see how many East Africans still love me. Retweet and like for our project!”

He said he harboured no grudge against Kenyans who had jammed his Twitter page to scorn him for his sensitive utterances on Monday.

KOT, I forgive you all for the insults you have hurled against me. Please let’s work together to make East Africa great.
