Kevin Oliech has battled cancer for the last four years.
Kevin Oliech is a younger brother to Harambee Stars celebrated player, Dennis Oliech.
He played for Mathare United and Thika United.
Kevin also played for other Kenyan Premier League clubs including Nairobi City Stars, Tusker, Ushuru, and defunct Securicor.
Oliech also made an appearance for two sides in the lower tiers of German football; KFC Uerdingen 05 and Alemannia Aachen.
The family spokesperson Nixon Onywanda confirmed the heartbreaking news on Sunday 16th August.
“For four years he’s been in and out of the hospital. Last year he came back to Kenya then returned to Germany but we’ve unfortunately lost him.”
said Nixon
The death of Kevin Oliech comes two years after his mother also succumbed to cancer in 2018.
As a result, condolence messages have been sent to the family of superstars via social media platforms.
Kevin was thirty-three years old. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
