Silas Jakakimba had on Monday announced through his Facebook page that he had finally found his son who had been kidnapped by his mother.
Beryl, the child’s biological mother was left dumbfounded as to why Silas was claiming to be a good father. Yet he had ordered her to terminate the pregnancy in 2017.
A frustrated Beryl reached out to the tea master after putting up a Facebook post about the nature of their nasty co-parenting status with Jakakimba.
How it began
Beryl revealed that she met Silas in 2017 and they had an affair going on for a couple of months. When she got expectant the same year in October, the Facebook user ordered her to terminate the pregnancy with immediate effect. Because he did not want a child.
As a Christian and highly principled woman, Beryl chose to keep the pregnancy and never to bother him.
Beryl admitted that she paid all her bills during her pregnancy. And Silas showed up after delivery to take pictures for social media.
Court orders
In 2019, when she got an opportunity to travel to the United States, Jakakimba went to court and obtained an order barring her from moving out of the country.
It’s hereby ordered that the defendant is restrained from removing the minor herein out of the Jurisdiction of this Honorable Court or outside the Republic of Kenya or prepare any new birth certificate,passport, or any travel documents relating to the minor at all until further orders from the court. The mother reveals that she had no option but to stay in the country with her son who was barely one year old. She went on to disclose that, that was the beginning of a series of court orders and visits regarding the child. Even though she has never found justice for her son from the courts.
She cried that the courts granted him sleepover rights when the child was barely one year old. The court also gave orders that the two be sharing school holidays yet the child was yet to join the school. She argued that Jakakimba was granted all his wishes by the court. And even got to choose the responsibilities he felt comfortable with. She revealed that she got so frustrated with the courts that she opted out.
Child Abuse
Beryl has accused Jakakimba of child neglect and abuse. She disclosed that each time he picks up the child, the child goes back home with unexplained injuries and is sometimes unwell. Jakakimba never follows up on treatment or bothers to inform the mother of the child’s illnesses.
In screenshots shared by Beryl, Silas is seen complaining about the child’s dress code in a picture shared by the mother. Beryl is left wondering how audacious the man is, to complain about the dress code yet could not spare a minute to visit him at the hospital.
Beryl added that Silas does not allow her to call and check up on her son while he is with him. She only gets to see him on social media.
In one instance when the child was returned with unexplained burns, Silas issued her a lame explanation
He informed her that his househelp had been changing the child’s diapers when he went to work. He was however unavailable for three days to know if the house help did proper timings on diaper changes. Adding that he would advise her appropriately the next time.
Expose’
When Beryl exposed Silas on Facebook as the deadbeat, manipulative father he was, he threatened her.
Beryl added that the two also fought about the child’s faith after she got the child baptized in a Catholic Church. The deadbeat father insisted that the child had to be brought up the Pentecostal way since he is a Pentecostal and Beryl had no right to deny him that.
The mother of one also divulged that the child does not like going to his father’s house. And had demonstrated the same at a police station. But was however forcefully taken away. Even though his father has never attended any important functions in his life.
Silas responds
Edgar Obare reached out to Silas for a comment on the allegations. The proud man however revealed that the woman was only trying to tarnish his name.
Through his Facebook page, the father of many denied being a deadbeat. Painting the mother as a liar and a psycho who planned for the child’s arrest. He also attached documents from his lawyers as well as FIDA and National Police.
My son was maliciously exposed to trauma until 10pm last night when I picked him up. I’m told there’s a video that the team of women who kidnapped him sent viral when they clung to him in my residence. In consequence, I’ve had the minor certified as okay following the obvious effects of possible trauma occasioned by the said group of cheer-women. He wrote on Monday on FB.
Having caught winds of the same, she decided to go and cause drama at my place knowing so well that the police officers would actually go for her WHEREVER she was – to then use my son as a shield and twist the narrative, but the truth and facts around her arrest will soon come out, and my advocate is handling that space to avail a Brief Statement unearthing the twisted falsehoods that may have been at play yesterday, my son fronted as the weapon… he went on.
