Kenya’s youngest reverend have refuted claims that he sat for this year’s KCPE and scored 227 marks.
Reverend Victor Githu rose to fame about two years ago when videos of him praying and preaching went viral.
Kenyans were left mouth agape wondering who the young man taking the gospel industry by storm was.
Media houses traced him and brought him to the limelight. Victor shared his story with the world revealing that at the tender age of five, he had attempted suicide.
His command in English left many people wowed as not many kids his age speak in fluent English.
Rumors have been spreading like wildfire that the man of God sat for 2021 KCPE. And amassed a total of 227 marks out of the possible 500.
Netizens have since the rumors began, made fun and criticized the young man. Some even said the 27 was for withdrawing his marks the same way you would withdraw money from Mpesa.
I’m in grade 6
Reverend Victor has finally come to disregard the ongoing rumors disclosing that her is in grade six.
He said that he was shocked to hear that he already sat for his KCSE. Adding that the rumors must have been started by someone who wanted to drag his name in the mud.
Rumors spreading that I scored 227 marks and 96 in CRE. I am receiving congrats messages. My question is when did I become a candidate? When did I do KCPE? If they troll you, just know you are good fruit. I have not done any exams. I am in Grade six. Do not believe in such rumors, I was not on the list.”
There was also rumors that the young man had prophesied the future of Kisii and Kamba women. He denied the claims as well saying that he is a reverend not a prophet.
“I am not a prophet. I was called to see greatness, to prophesy blessings and to teach you not to walk in sin and to show you the light of God.”
Githu concluded by stating that the criticism does not bother him. Because at such a young age, he knows who he is and people should wait for him to do the exams and see the results for themselves
“You will see me on the TV and you will call me congratulating me on the results,” he said.
