Musician Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati has announced that he is eyeing the Mathare constituency parliamentary seat under the Jubilee party.
Bahati has been throwing subtle hints through his social media platforms that he is interested in politics. But it did not appear serious until he finally announced it.
In an event that took place today, Friday18th, Bahati disclosed that he had consulted with his family and friends before arriving at the decision.

Bahati was embraced by other Jubilee Party officials such as Kanini Kega.
Bahati was speaking at the Jubilee headquarters in Nairobi where he indicated that he has been getting calls from the residents urging him to rise to the challenge.
For the longest time, we have not had a leader who is born and raised in Mathare. I want to officially state that I am vying for the Mathare parliamentary seat on a Jubilee Party ticket. Our people have been crying over the same issues and when you are led by an outsider, they fail to understand the sufferings of the people,” he stated.
Kega welcomed the musician to the party saying that he would be a great addition to the team.
“Welcome to the party. You will be taken around so that you can tell us which party you will be vying for. We have tickets for all positions except the presidency,” he said.
Will you vote for Bahati?
