Ardent and famous football fanatic Isaac Juma was last night slashed to death following an attack at his home in Mumias, Kakamega.
Isaac is a well-known passionate football lover who religiously supported the national team Harambee stars.
Juma was in 2011 awarded the KPL Chairman’s lifetime award for his contribution to football fanaticism.
Juma is said to have been attacked on Wednesday night by unknown people at his home. His daughter disclosed that her father was having differences with his siblings over land.
His second wife identified as Farida Juma added that her husband was murdered at 9 p.m.
The OCPD Mumias West confirmed Isaac’s death adding that two of the prime suspects had already been arrested. And manhunt for the other party was still ongoing.
He was in his house when he heard a commotion in his sheep pen. Going out together with his son and brother the two men hacked Juma to death as his son and brother narrowly escaped
said the OCPD.
Juma left behind two wives Christina Juma and Farida Juma and ten children, Christina 4, Farida 6.
His body was moved to Butere hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem as investigations go on.
Harambee stars have eulogized him as a man whose passion for the game was unmatched.
I still don’t understand why anyone would chose to take a man’s life.
